My gangly starts lean anxiously towards the window where the sun tells them it’s time to g(r)o(w). Tomatoes, cucumbers, basil, peppers, eggplant. You can tell by their long-legged lean that they’re not getting enough wind. Note to self: my wee solar fan just ain’t cutting it.
It’s been cold the last couple of weeks. Sunny, rainy; spring in Seattle – but cold. The cucumbers are sending out tendrils and forming small flower buds. I’ll have to put them out soon.
Melons make their slow start in another window. I have high hopes. I hope it is a good summer.
